Akoy Pinoy Workshop by Malou Perez
“Ako’y Pinoy 3, which is an interactive lecture-performance on Philippine culture. The workshop covered its third year in a row and discussed topics that highlighted the Filipinos “Galing and Dangal” meaning “Excellence and Dignity.” This is also PASCO’s contribution to commemorate Filipino -American heritage being celebrated every month of October. The visiting artists from the Philippines were Ms. Ricamela Saturay-Palis and Mr. Yohan Palis. Both are connected with the Arts Research and Training Institute in Southern Tagalog, Inc. (ARTISTS, Inc.) founded in 1987. Ricamela has been a member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. |
